# Numenera 4-01-24
- We enter the library by just following a robodog through a door and start looking around.
- The shelves are filled with data pads and data cubes and other forms of data, as well as objects.
- There appears to be no visible method of organization.
- We see one of the robodogs jack into one of the shelves to upload data they collected.
- Logan goes to a shelf, and discovers that hovering your hand in front of each cube tells you the title...... except not in a language we can understand.
- Logan chooses the cube with the shortest title and swipes through it.
- Logan can read like a few words, though out of context.
- The cube appears to talk about an octopus uprising or something
- The cube shows a location on a map that matches the real world, so we mark it on our actual map
- Tubora checks out a shelf of objects.
- After picking up an object a person in a dark cloak appears out of nowhere.
- He seems to be missing a face. (or maybe the hood is just dark)
- His name is Kaelos
- He is the keeper of the library, but is NOT a librarian.
- He is angry that Tubora grabbed an item that is of military nature.
- We convince him we are security consultants here to do a survey on how to increase the security of the place.
- He tells us we are free to look around but to not touch or look up anything that is military in nature, as well as a few other rules
- No researching military technologies, particularly weapons, no researching the military capabilities, army strengths, etc of nations, essentially no intelligence gathering, and no identifying leaders and key figures in nations
Also, no use of any of military artifacts like the demonflesh
- This dude is kind of a dick. He seems powerful, but we get the sense his bark might be bigger than his bite.
- We start looking around.
- Tubora asks a robodog to translate a datacube.
- It translates it into an unknown language of dots.
- Tubora asks again, but specifies to translate into the language she is speaking
- The dog does that.
- Logan asks the dog to take us to a book of knowledge about the facility
- We walk for like 30 minutes and pass dozens of entrances. (We make a note that basically 100% of the security issues of this place are related to having over 3000 entry points)
- We pass a room with a big wall-sized screen and someone working on it.
- We see a second of what she's looking at before she alt-tabs away from that screen, and instead shows an info screen about some mouse.
- We introduce ourselves.
- Her name is Seraphina Tidecaller and she is a biolgist.
- She seems mildly sketchy. Also she has like a water tentacle.
- Logan biffs a roll so doesn't notice that the robes she's wearing resemble the baddies from the funeral.
- Tubora _doesn't_ biff a roll so _does_ notice that.
- Tubora asks about the robe and we are told she "got it from a friend"
- After we talk about ourselves, this lady is very interested in Logan's blood.
- Due to some bad rolls, Logan isn't fully against the idea.
- Logan asks to learn how to use the computer.
- Logan uses the computer and manages to un-close the tab she previously closed.
- It talks about human modifications to make the person be able to megaman blast from their hands.
- The lady gets PISSED and has me close the tab immediately.
- She zippers open a hole in spacetime for us to walk through into her laboratory in order to talk more about it
- She is afraid the not-a-librarian is gonna be angry if he sees what she was looking at
- We go into the lab and we talk about her plans for making herself, and maybe the town of Nebalich more powerful and defendable.
- She wants our help to find the ingredient list to make these modifications, and in payment will help us find what info we want, and, if we get the ingredients, will try to also do the enhancement on us.
- There is some back and forth and discussion on whether or not Nebalich is actually run by nazis, but it doesn't seem like it, and we kinda want both more knowledge, AND more power, so we say yes.
- She just wants to make sure we won't tell on her to the not-a-librarian.
- We agree.
- I think thats where we ended?
