* Brumwik learns from narla that the crown of fire could use the tornadomachine to fly up to the city.
* Brumwik tells the crown of fire there is no way to get up to the city.
* Brumwik tells everyone that the crown of fire could use the tornadomachine to fly up to the city.
* Balricstein hates this plan due to his fears of flying and heights.
* The Crown of Fire moves to the courtyard via their birds.
* Balricstein vomits everywhere on the way to the courtyard.
* Aisder the Giant notices our approach to the courtyard.
* The Crown of Fire jump into the tornado.
* The Crown of Fire bursts through the clouds and enter the Giant’s cloud city.
* Deciding to explore the Cloud City at night for stealth, the COF first climbs a tower to look around. Seeing they are on an island, Billy jumps off using his balls (and wingsuit) to soar to the next island.
* Billy bets Brumrik that he can’t backflip glide across, who agrees and jumps normally.
* Uligil punches Balricstein off.
* As they walk through the street, they see skeletons of several giants. Brumrik puts one of the skulls on his head.
* The COF sees a bookstore. Billy has an idea that our giant friend has looked everywhere but human establishments. The COF agrees, and they set off for the southern tip of the main island.
* Balricstein sees some flying objects on their journey south. The party sets off north to circumnavigate a chasm. As they pass Gianthenge, they see statues of creatures on each pedestal. Balricstein checks it out, doesn’t really see anything neat.
* Billy sees shadows dart across the ground in front of him.
* Uligul checks out some statues on the nearby rooftops, furrowing his brow to see a demon with enormous wings sticking out its tongue at the COF.
* Billy and Brumrik shoot it, to which the arrow bounces off but doesn’t sound like rock.
* As they approach the small town with a wide open field before them, Billy checks for traps. The same statue stares at Billy from a few hundred feet behind.
* Balricstein summons Kevin (who claims to be George), who….does nothing.
* A gargoyle sneaks up behind Uligul, who screams as he’s carried off. Brumrik convinces Uligul to ask for directions. With no response from the gargoyle, Brumrik jumps on and hangs onto Uligul’s legs.
* The gargoyle snaps at Brumrik and misses.
* Billy, thrilled to be in melee range for the first time ever, runs and swipes the gargoyle, causing it to drop Uligul and Brumrik.
* Suddenly, another gargoyle appears behind Balricstein, striking Balric! It’s scary.
* Balricstein fucking teleports across the battle, somehow bitch slapping the gargoyle as he goes. Kevin “George” The Imp goes alongside.
* Uligul tries to chills the gargoyle the fuck down, but he fails.
* Brumrik brandishes the Ring of Evil Air Elemental at the gargoyle in front of him, who shrieks to his buddy and they both attack Brumrik.
* Billy unleashes fury and de-horns one of the gargoyles with shorterspike.
* Balricstein blasts em, using his new rod for more effective blasts.
* Uligul acid splashes the fuckers who somehow dodge it.
* Brumrik….runs. The gargoyles follow him and try to pick him up, and Brumrik ducks out of the way for now.
* Billy fucks up and slaughters one gargoyle, leaving one.
* Balricstein BLASTS em. It’s super effective.
* Brumrik runs back the other way and hides behind Uligul.
* The gargoyle flies off toward Gianthenge.
* Billy gives him the bird. The double bird. B-bird’s the word.
* Balricstein blasts him, clipping his wing and dropping him a few feet.
* Uligul magic missiles him the fuck out of the sky, then mage hand flips him off.
* Billy investigates the nearby corpse. And fucks it up until its rubble.
* Billy sprints into town, Brumrik walking quickly at his heels arrow drawn. A groove moat about a foot wide encircles the town, with runes inscribed inside the dirt.
* Billy bets Uligul he can’t read the runes.
* Ulligul reads the runes.
* Billy jumps over the groove....and nothing happens. They go into town. The design seems similar to Big Town, but there are no skeletons. There are, however, cloaks and clothes laying around.
* Brumrik scavenges through the piles of armor and asks Uligul to identify magical properties. He finds 10 arrows that may have such properties, but not known for now.
* Billy investigates whether the city folk enslaved the Small Town folk. To his knowledge, they did not.
* They decide to sleep in one of these homes. Brumrik takes first watch and sees a ship sailing through the clouds on the north end of the island. Billy takes second watch and sees nothing. Balricstein takes 3rd watch and gets distracted by the architecture.
* As they wake, a mist hangs over the city. The day is theirs, and the book still evades them.👏👏👏👏👏👏
