# Numenera 08-11-24

||||
- Last week, Logan was busy chopping sneezing wood. Ozzie was with him.
|
||||
- This week, Ozzie is gambling. Blue mist forms around him and he disappears.
|
||||
- Logan plays a song to summon the hognoses to our location as we prepare to leave. We mount up and leave town.
|
||||
- We arrive at a large floating pyramid, solid and black like onyx, with a village in its shadow. Tubora views it with her telescope. The village looks modern, but strangely no people around.
|
||||
- There is a solid wall of buildings around the town, with an entrance. All the buildings are single story. Town abandoned for approximately a decade.
|
||||
- We explore in the village a little. Tubora tries to perceive but rolls a 1. A shadow blocks the light - a 12-foot long lizard appears and attacks from the rooftop nearby. It hits Tubora. It has a crystalline horn in its skull - but it is not a part of the monster. We enter combat!

||||
- The lizard telepathically attacks Logan and flings him into the wall. It gets stuck in the ground and Logan is able to find a weak point on it.

- Tadej kills the lizard but continues to fight in a rage. Tubora decides to use the mystery box and see if she can stop him. It mutates our bodies:

- Tubora 1, 92, her body twists and turns, her thighs feel weaker and she gains a weakness of speed. Weakness in Speed: Any time you spend points from your Speed Pool, the cost is increased by 1 point.

- Logan 1, 94, a headache, and feel simpler. 93–00 Weakness in Intellect: Any time you spend points from your Intellect Pool, the cost is increased by 1 point.

- Tadej 2, 79, Telepathy (2 Intellect points): You can speak telepathically with others who are within short range. Communication is two-way, but the other party must be willing and able to communicate. You don’t have to see the target, but you must know that it’s within range. You can have more than one active contact at once, but you must establish contact with each target individually. Each contact lasts up to ten minutes. In addition to the normal options for using Effort, you can choose to use a level of Effort to increase the duration of contact to 28 hours. Action to establish contact.

- Logan tries to persuade Tadej to calm down. He succeeds in helping him. Meanwhile, Tubora pulls the head of the lizard out of its place and examines the horn. She harvests it.

- We use the teleportation device that Tubora has to move up to the pyramid. The door remains stuck closed. Logan scans it and finds an interface on the top of the the tower we floated up from. He thinks we are looking for a sphere-type control. We leave off at the top of the tower.
