### The Definitive Notes
|
||||
- CeeCee was thrown in jail for gathering too large of a crowd
|
||||
- Bram and Jenna get into a rock fight
|
||||
- We ask Roberta Books about our lost memories and the rifts
|
||||
- She leads us below deck through seemingly endless shelves of books. Eventually she takes off two of them and puts them back in reverse order. The shelf shivers in enjoyment then disappears. This reveals a golden chair with a helmet surrounded by runes
|
||||
- Neif puts on the helmet where is sees the memory of a man named Gustave who watches his son Jacob (a blacksmith in the town of Oakhold) being taken away by the Time Cops
|
||||
- Neif also sees a vision from his own past where he's holding a baby which appears to be his as he watches his other son take its first steps
|
||||
- Neif experiences a 3rd memory, this time from the viewpoint of Jacob. He is a member of a group who is exploring a cave that hopefully has some rare artifacts. As they descend they feel as though they are being watched and they eventually come upon a rift that is shooting out lighting. They find unknown devices, statues, and weapons of strange design. They gather it all up and just as they are about to leave someone spots a chest. Dawn, the leader of the group, tells Jacob to investigate. Inside is a glowing orb, as he picks it up he feels a rush of energy and desire to protect the orb.

- Neif experiences a 4th memory, this one also from his own past. Its of his wife holding his young children who have just died of a mysterious illness. Neif turns to a dark cloaked figure and makes some kind of deal to save the lives of the children. This seems to be the event that cause him to loose his memories

- Neif relays all of this to Tazlin who gives him a hug

- According to Mrs Books, we are the only group who has lost their memories. She mentions that there are several groups who are doing work related to the rifts
|
||||
- Rift Cappers: Close rifts
|
||||
- Rift Keepers: More rifts
|
||||
- Time Commandos: assholes
|
||||
- Lore Hold: let things be as they are. Collect artifacts from the rifts
|
||||
- She suggests that we head towards Neverwinter where the Rift Keepers and Cappers are located. She also offers a map of known rift locations
|
||||
- After discussing it with the group we decide to head to Neverwinter as suggested to make contact with the Rift Cappers (not necessarily to join) and possibly look for Neif's lost family
|
||||
- They split up for a bit while Tazlin casts plant growth as promised. Neif goes on a date with Ms Books at Mrs Pot's Pot Pies. Jenna and Brom spend the time looking for a 1000gp diamond for spells. Eventually finding one and trading some incense sticks and the Man-Doll-in's hair for it.

- Back on the boat Jenna takes a look at the boat's control system for the first time. After spending a great deal of time studying them she is able to determine that its otherworldly in origin. So she throws caution to the wind and presses the button causing the boat to fly 20-40 ft above the water. She keeps holding the button to continue rising, the button is vibrating as she does this. Eventually we level off at 60ft, a poor cruising height by her estimation

- Tazlin summons Temtation to make sure everything is alright with her

- We reach what we think should be the shoreline at Neverwinter but find its flooded and the shoreline is further back than we expected. We see a building up on stilts in the water and some kind of giant robot out in the waves
