# Dnd Notes 03-12-23 B-Team
- We head to Our Lady of the Perpetual Flame to cure Ungvar of whatever disease he is suffering
- We see a large group of people lined up going into an alley, Ungvar asks a bum about it and it seems to be for Jimco's restaurant
- Yeedra mentions that the nearby temple to Bahamut might have a portal that we could use to reach the Vampire at the Necropolis of Nykkar
- Infaris disguises herself as a monk worshiper of Bahamut
- A monk stops us and we are able to convince him that Infaris is leading a group of converts from Valhaven on a pilgrimage to see the teleportation circle
- At the back of the temple there is a giant statue (which does not have boobs) that seems to be glowing
- Vapor spots a bird on the statue, he levitates up to push it, which triggers a lever and causes the statue to move revealing a portal beneath it
- Infaris is able to manipulate the runes to point the portal towards Necropolis of Nykkar and jump through
- We emerge in the desert amist a battle between an Orc war party and some shades
- We decide to join in and help the orcs
- Vapor casts lightning bolt which lights something on fire just beneath the sand which reveals a chamber beneath
- The orcs mention that their entire clan was wiped out by the vampire while they were out hunting (The Kutamed Tribe of Zrummud Stronghold)
- The clansmen give Ungvar the shield of Obuld in trade for a bunch of spears and daggers
- Infaris uses gust to reveal the burnt trap door. There are spikes down below but there seems to be a larger room as well
- Infaris blesses her coconuts so they have holy water in it
- Ungvar lights a stick of dynamite to blow the hole open even further
- Infaris tosses down a coconut then Vapor uses Control Water to expand the water and flood the place with holy coconut water

- We use the magic broom (named Steve) to descend into the chamber
- There are several creatures in cages that don't seem to be moving and a pile of dead bodies. There are also several coffins
- Ungvar starts popping some of the coffins and grey dust starts to emerge accompanied by a sizzling sound. Our thinking is that its the vampire within vaporizing in the sunlight
- Vapor uses thunderclap to burst several more coffins within
- Ungvar drags the more ornate coffin into the light. Infaris knocks on the side trying to talk to whoever may be inside. No response.
- Ungvar pops the top to reveal that it's empty
- In some nearby chests we find
- 488 gp
- 12x Potion of Cold Resistance (55 gp) (Infaris 8, Ungvar 4)
- 12 spears (Ungvar)
- +1 shield enchanted with blur (Ungvar)
- 2 blue dragons are waiting for us outside, they were drawn in by the TNT explosions and the thunderclap
- Infaris summons her dragon spirit to talk to the dragons and convince them that it was there to kill the vampire. We manage to convince the dragons to let us leave peacefully
- Infaris starts drawing a teleportation circle as Vapor passes out from not drinking enough alcohol.
- Once through the portal Vapor heads off to a bar for some CaliMalort
- Yeedrah mentions that the guards are looking for the people who desecrated the Temple of Bahamut. Infaris and Vapor were disguised at the time

- While staying at the inn a young woman informs us that the vampire has been located and seems to be acting alone and working in the gem ward preying on the patrons of Che Jimco
- Jimco and Ungvar hide in the alleyway while Infaris pretends to be a stuffed patron of the restaurant

- Utilizing his new proficiency, Jimco takes the helm and heads us towards Dragonspear Castle in the High Moore
- Dragonspear Castle was built by dwarves but is now inhabited by demons and a dragon. There are also rumors that there is a portal to another realm
- While in transit we see a flying carpet with some sort of sack on it, Ungvar uses his broom to fly over to it. Ungvar grabs the sack which is surprisingly heavy and brings it back to the airship. He drops it off and heads back to the flying carpet
- The bag seems to contain a human man who claims that he put himself in the bag b/c he's afraid of heights. That is just TOO weird for Infaris so we quickly send him on his way and we GTFO
- We encounter some people riding brooms through a sort of obstacle course so we descend and join in
- Infaris enters the race as a member of Davrick's Razonbacks, a group of professional broom racers. With guidance from Jimco Infaris pulls an early lead and gains some style points by standing on the broom. On the final lap she gets some more style points by jumping off the broom through one of the hoop. Right towards the end of the race her magic surges causing a fireball to explode centered on her. Luckily she is able to just barely control the explosion just a bit limiting the damage to herself and the other riders.
- Ungvar is able to convince someone to give him is broom that just got singed a bit by the fireball. Slightly damage but still works, its 10ft slower and can only carry 300lbs
- Prize is a sack of 800gp, an ornate wood box with two nice rings inside.
- Ring of the ram (Ungvar)
- ring of free action (Jimco)
- We arrive at Dragonspear castle and find it in disrepair. We look for a spot to hide the ship but there does not appear to be any so we land in the middle of the courtyard
- Went enter a grand hall decorated with images of dwarven and human heroes of the past covered in moss. There are stairs leading up to the second floor that appear to have crumbled. There is an odd smell of sulfur coming from the western side of the castle
- We descend to lower floors, the smell of sulfur gets louder and we hear loud snoring
- We come across a sleeping Adult Red Dragon
